Nope, ha, for this thought experiment, it has to be a score written for a musical that is then repurposed as the score for a musical with different characters and story. (the songs do not have to be in the same order as in their original musical home)
I also wish Guettel would do that. It wouldn't quite count for this since it's not produced or recorded so there's no way of knowing what would have been rewritten to fit it to the new story/book ... but in real life, I really wish he'd do this. |
