| I was at the "Sweeney Todd" preview too, Fleet Street Barber! My memory is that when they finally restarted the show, Angela Lansbury came out holding her lantern up and sang the first phrase, "Nothing's gonna harm you" -- and then quickly turned her head to look back at the naughty bridge -- and then looked out to the audience, reassuring us, "Not while I'm around." At which point everyone started laughing and cheering. It was such a wonderful Broadway moment. |
