I also thought it depicted the cost of survival and the long arm of trauma quite uniquely. There were ways in which it was hard not to be a step ahead of the book, particularly in terms of the brothers' story, but overall it was an effective piece. (No, no, NO pun intended!).
I should add that I am a fan of the Avett Brothers and their music was both well incorporated and beautifully performed. |
