Glinda: Megan Hilty. She acted the hell out of the role and was one of the few Glindas with both a strong legitimate upper register and a massive belt. She used both effortlessly (and even took options up) in songs like Thank Goodness.
Elphie: Kerry Ellis (when she was going on for Idina on the West End), Sho Bean (because her acting is tops and her vocals were fire), Ana Gasteyer was superb from an acting standpoint with some truly inspired choices, Saycon Sengblog (in good voice, she was spectactular) and Wilemejin (who made everything look so insanely effortless, it blew me away). |
