I thought she was very good for what she had to do, but as far as the Oscars in 2025, and for that matter, the past 5 or 6 years, I've yet to see a slam dunk when it comes to screen performances that immediately convinced me they're going to win an Academy Award. We're in the era of being told, "you should really love this movie and performance." Last year, in my opinion, Margot Robbie was the most impressive performance and she didn't even get nominated. Forget the snubs, gone are the days at least for now of a, off the top of my head, Meryl Streep in "Sophie's Choice" or Jared Leto in "Dallas Buyer's Club".
