| I’m sure you’re right that they could have if they’d wanted to, but I don’t believe the Shubert Foundation factors into it. The mission and charter of the foundation have nothing to do with building a new commercial theatre, and I think there would be uproar if its funds were used that way. (Not sure what you mean by the word “overarching” when describing the foundation, but I don’t think it’s an accurate description, as far as I understand it.) |
