There was still two months of the run still to go when theatres closed in March 2020 and so the planned NT Live broadcast never took place. Lucy Kirkwood’s The Welkin was another NT Live broadcast that also didn’t happen for the same reasons.

The NT Archive lists video recordings of the The Visit captured shortly before opening, but one assumes these recordings are filmed (and edited) differently to anything that ends up being available through NT Live or National Theatre at Home. However, NT at Home does contain some performances that are listed as being ‘From the Archive’ - maybe The Visit might one day make a belated appearance.
