| I agree with your interpretation, but that kind of makes the rest of the cast not color blind casted. So Louise must be a black actress when Audra is performing. Unlike Billy Elliott for example where Billy was all races when the mother, grandma, father, brother were all white. If the revival extended beyond Audra’s departure, I wonder what recasting would happen if, for example, Sutton Foster played Rose. |
