| On a 1986 QE2 westbound crossing from Southampton, Karen Mason was the entertainer headliner. She did some ‘new music’ from a new show called Les Misérables (and look what happened to that show; still running in London). Ah, this was not stock shipboard entertainment. Keeping the name in my head, I next heard of her as standby as Norma to Glenn Close in Sunset Boulevard in the Los Angeles production in 1993. Of course she came to New York, I saw her do Norma several times. Prefer her in the role against all the others. Jus’ sayin’. |
