| I saw Mason take over for Buckley mid-performance, a Saturday matinee. She arrived for act 2, and tore into "As If We Never Said Goodbye" with a fervor that was so appreciated, it stopped the show. One of those thrilling moments in the theater. And it must be said: Betty Buckley has a superb record for attendance. The fact that she began - and to my ear sang wonderfully in act one - should also be noted. |
