I don’t know if those examples are exactly comparable, though. “Sunset” has already opened to largely glowing reviews for its production and stars. If anything, the examples you provide reinforce the idea that some spring openings crash & burn, and “Sunset” stays at the top of the heap. But I get the sentiment - the season is still young, and a lot can happen!
That said - I’ve been semi-predicting “Floyd Collins” as a last-minute spoiler for the Best Revival award. |
