I saw the entire thing as an attack. That Man In Chair's loneliness goes hand in hand with his love for old musicals. Which is never the point I've gotten from the show. Musicals in general perhaps lol - but not older ones specifically. I'm also not sure that the Elton John comment in the script is trying to damn all contemporary composers.
Whoever thought Man In Chair would get this much analysis lol?
