| I remember Audra’s performance in Raisin in the Sun and noticing how she remained in character even when the focus was on other actors (because, of course, my focus was always on her). She may me a great singer who can act, or a great actor who can sing…she is great, period, and I consider myself lucky to be alive while she’s performing. From Table 1 at Lady Day (one of only two times I’ve paid for premium seats) to her television roles, I’ve observed nothing but excellence at her craft. |
