Yes, I'm saying I usually see Cats and Rent spelled out out in all caps. Actors will list shows as My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof and Spring Awakening, but then they will use CATS or RENT.
And The Sound of Music's artwork for both the original production and the film have the title in all caps but I don't see that as a reason to use all caps in a bio or when writing the name of the show in an article.
It feels to me like the subtext of the all caps usage is: "Hey! Over here! Don't miss me just because I'm small!"
(I'm not losing sleep over it; it's just illogical.) |
