Seeing it on Friday. The celebration of him recently at NYU Skirball was really a treat. He was on stage. In a wheelchair, but great to hear his voice again.
One reason the 1990s Foreman-directed shows worked so well is that he used all of the oldest theater tricks in the book. Lights! Sets! Costumes! Entrances and exits! So much theater nowadays lacks...theatrics. |
