I don't care if one states an opinion forcefully and without adding a IMO or IMHO or the like. My problem is that you generally express negative and contrarian opinions and that when you are challenged on them (often because they lack any semblance of intellectual foundation), your response is to bring to our attention a positive (but still contrarian and lacking in intellectual foundation) opinion as if that validates either. This leads folks to question whether your putative opinions are actually just a cry for attention.
I love reading opinions with which I don't agree; sometimes they persuade me I am wrong. But I don't like reading anything if it feels like I am just being played. [Observation: most people don't.] |
