I just sought and read the NYTimes puff-piece praising Laura Donnelly. In the profile, Ms Donnelly answers questions about the playwright’s rewrite of the Third Act and how it changes the olay so much.
But we don’t really get the facts. I only have seen the play once. Here in America. What were the essential changes?
Does it have to do with Joan going up those dark stairs in the present? With what Joan’s mother said to Joan in the past? With Gloria’s eavesdropping? What???
