| I have done the same thing. With so much to see (generally) that is worthwhile, I feel for those in the TKTS line who are barraged with the flyers and, not really knowing what they might enjoy (other than the big name items, which are only occasionally there), I hate for their often one-time experience of NYC theatre to be such awful tripe. I realize some may love it and its price on the TKTS board may be an incentive, but I often put in my two cents and then leave the people in front or behind me in line to their own devices. SOmetimes they eem grateful for the warning and may ask me for my recommendations--I try to get a feel for what they are looking for in a theatrical experience and may offer a suggestion, always letting them know what my own preferences tend to be. And I never do that unless they ask. |
