The scolding of Benanti for breaking protocols is perverse. She's defending truth in an era when truth is subjective or suspect, relegated to "gut" and conspiracy. And all to honor a beloved fellow artist, Gavin Creel. Her heroic defense of a peer smeared by innuendo to score cheap political points should be lifted up, not denigrated.
