What’s tricky about Network was that Ivo was recycling a lot of hiis earlier downtown/European ideas for the commercial London/New York audience; the walking on the street thing was cool, but we’d already seen it in his “Misanthrope.”
I think the coverage for the Broadway SB has been more about the fact that it goes through Schubert Alley and is somehow audio broadcast live to the St James without street noise or other interference. It’s not being mentioned because it’s art but because it’s a technically impressive stunt. |
