"The service ended with a vocal performance -- seemingly recorded during the run of HAIR -- of Gavin's vocals on "Let the Sunshine In," seamlessly leading into a reunion of the Broadway cast who sang the show's finale live. Gavin once said in an interview that his dream of heaven would be to reunite, forever, with that cast, and perform that show again."
I don't think I will ever forget their faces, especially Will's and Caissey's. The climax of Hair has devastated me whenever I've seen the show and a more suitable closing for this tribute simply couldn't have been chosen. |
