Popeye has been a personal hero of mine since childhood.
Gallagher got the best reviews of the cast for Swept Away, but I've always found his musical performances to be in need of constructive "less is more" direction. Oddly, he underplayed in the dramas I've seen him in (Long Day's Journey Into Night and Farragut North), so I know he's capable of bringing it down. But, as I said, he got the best reviews for this show so most people probably don't want him to. |
