Actually, I was surprised that so much of that proctologist scene was kept - I for sure thought there was 1 line that would be cut, about the bleeding, but it was kept in and i think that was the most graphic line in London. There difference there was that Tammy was on all fours and on Broadway she was standing. I didn't mind the OG Billy Graham, making him out to be some twinkle toes who was reaady for his TV close up! But obviously there is more familiarity with him in the US and had to be toned down, probably before they got sued lol 'Heritage USA' had all the bells and whistles thrown at it on Broadway, things rising out of the stage, much larger props, longer dances, and new bits of music, though they actually cut some bits, mainly all the bits with the actors portraying Jesus and Moses, but it also seemed to drag on. In London without all the fancy extra bits, it was far funnier and we also got to see 'the rolling away of the rock' with Jesus struggling to get out and finally saying 'Surprise!' Though on Broadway they did add a lot more about Tammy's addiction starting. |
