| Absolutely. Happens in (summer) stock. The production is AEA, and everyone must adhere to regulations, including (I'm almost certain) paying dues or the equivalent. But actual membership isn't required so long as terms are not sidestepped. Someone will back me up or shout me down, but B'way has staged plays with non-union choirs or the like, and everyone participating wasn't required to join the union. I have an AEA family member and will pose the question. |
