I think it depends on what the actress playing Louise has discussed with her director, at least as a starting basis. That line could be said with a number of different intentions underneath, whether it's sincere or perhaps slightly ironic, among some choices. Of course, if the actress playing Rose has said her previous line in some kind of different and spontaneous manner, it might provoke a different line reading from an actress who is really listening to her scene partner. Louise could also be saying the line in a manner to try to calm Rose down at that moment, but thankfully for us, of course, it doesn't work, because it leads to "Rose's Turn". |
