I loved this in London and saw the Broadway production last week.

I liked it, but it's become a big overblown production and the book changes don't help. It seems that everything has to be explained more, how Jim met Tammy, What got Tmmy interested in God, how Jim and Tammy toured the puppet show... alot more detail before we get to the main story, as it were.

The big new orchestra didnt really add anything and a lot of the humour has gone. Some of the lines are still there, but they don't work.

I didn't have a problem with th tone of the show, it's a very funny drama, well it would be if there were some dramatic stakes in the story.

Borle was miscast. Cerveris wasn't given the chance to shine either. A huge shame. The 1 addition i really loved? The adult sized puppets at the end of 'If Only Love'
