| Well, aside from things like the Indians, I tend to wonder if that comic strip is even anywhere in the public consciousness still, and if it would be recognizable enough to most people. Annie has such an impact on its own terms that I don't think you need to know the Orphan Annie comic strip at all - but would people be wondering who Al Capp even was? :-) |
