For the record, she also liked a comment by RFK Jr. That comment appeared under a post by Tucker Carlson. RFK Jr talked all about Trump and getting him back to the White House.

It’s disingenuous, too, to say she just liked a pic of a hat. That hat was held by Russell Brand, an alleged sexual predator who is known to be a member of the MAGA crowd.

Project 2025 calls for the undoing of protections for LGBTs. And Clarence Thomas has called for the
re-litigation of the federal gay marriage law. LGBTs make up a big portion of Ms. Scherzinger’s fan base — and the fan base of musicals and Broadway. In a case of “never meet your heroes”, many of us feel betrayed. How could she bask in our affection and adoration and then vote against us? It’s a shock, to say the least.

She can vote any way she wants — and she shouldn’t have to apologize. You are correct. But “we” can protest and express dismay just the same. We can protest, call her out, and skip the show. That’s our right.

The statement is clearly crafted by the Sunset PR team. It’s a bit of a mess, suggesting she didn’t vote for Trump (of which I am skeptical — perhaps she voted for RFK Jr, who knows?) and calling for unity and compassion. That part was really something.

Finally, all of it isn’t any of our business. But she made it public and caused a big mess for herself and the production. Social media is a slippery, dicey thing. Ms. Scherzinger has learned that lesson the hard way.
