What comes up for me in reviews of a nightclub act of Faith Prince's is that she discussed doing On a Clear Day in stock with a "forgetful" (the word used in at least a couple of the reviews) Jones. He did do Guys and Dolls at least once. The one time on which we have info at ovrtur was not with Prince. but with Maureen McGovern as Adelaide, Kim Crosby as Sarah, and Frank Gorshin as Nathan. Of course, that doesn't mean that Prince didn't do Guys and Dolls somewhere with Jones, but I can't find anything on it.

Just a few days ago, I mentioned to a friend that I wish I'd gone back to the '90s revival when Crosby took over as Sarah near the end of the run. I didn't like that production nearly as much as most people did, but everyone said Crosby was terrific, and I would imagine that she was.

Going off the immediate topic for a bit, 11 years earlier McGovern had played Sarah opposite Bill Hayes, who was 59 at the time. Jones was only 57 when he played Sky opposite Crosby. I know of only one other actress who played both Sarah and Adelaide in different productions of the show, and that is Betsy Joslyn, but I bet there have been some others.

Btw, Allan Jones played Sky on the first national tour of Guys and Dolls, initially opposite Jan Clayton as Sarah.
