Probably because the evening performance is at 7pm and they want to give the cast and crew the same amount of rest time between the matinee and evening that they would have if performances were at 2pm and 8pm.
A few other shows have also moved to earlier start times. All performances of Hamilton are now at 1pm or 7pm, for example. |
